The Kirkland Basin is home to mule deer, pronghorn, raptors, and a diverse array of Sonoran Desert species. Our mine plan was designed around a comprehensive wildlife baseline study to minimize habitat disturbance and maintain wildlife corridors across the property.

Water Conservation
Zero Net Water Discharge
In Arizona's arid climate, water stewardship is non-negotiable. Our processing operation is designed as a closed-loop system — all process water is recycled on-site, and we target zero net discharge to local drainages.

Land Reclamation
Concurrent Reclamation
We don't wait until the mine closes to restore the land. Concurrent reclamation begins as soon as each area is mined out — re-grading, re-seeding with native species, and monitoring until vegetation is fully re-established.

Climate Impact
Lower Carbon by Design
Natural pozzolan requires no kiln firing, no calcination, and no energy-intensive chemical processing. Substituting 20–40% of Portland cement with Kirkland pozzolan reduces the embodied carbon of concrete by up to 30% — making every project that uses our product a climate win.
